Task Completed for Spring 2011
- Understand the Bundler Algorithm and the various steps of the pipeline from the input of photographs to the point cloud output.
- Research various meshing programs and algorithms. (Probably Mesh Lab)
- Load .obj meshes into PhotosynthVR, named as model.obj in the folder of the desired data.
- Button turns on/off display of 3D model.
Tasks for Spring 2011
- Understand, utilize, and update prior work.
- Apply a texturing algorithm or 3d model generated and run in PhotosynthVR
- Check out potential alternatives to applying textures.
- Brainstorm methods to optimize efficiency and realism of selected algorithms.
- Learn to set up the infrastructure required for the summer.
- Familiarize myself with OSG and Opencover to begin development of the StarCAVE Application.
- Display the 3D model generated from my own photographs on my application in the StarCAVE
