Task Completed for Spring 2011

  • Understand the Bundler Algorithm and the various steps of the pipeline from the input of photographs to the point cloud output.
  • Research various meshing programs and algorithms. (Probably Mesh Lab)
  • Load .obj meshes into Photosynth

Tasks for Spring 2011

  • Understand, utilize, and update prior work.
  • Check out potential alternatives to applying textures.
  • Brainstorm methods to optimize efficiency and realism of selected algorithms.
  • Learn to set up the infrastructure required for the summer.
  • Familiarize myself with OSG and Opencover to begin development of the StarCAVE Application.
  • Display the 3D model generated from my own photographs on my application in the StarCAVE
